HOW TO APPLY
Grant applications are made available November 1 of each year. Applications must be received by March 1, 2020 for consideration. Applicant finalists must be prepared to interview for the grant on April 6, 2020 Award recipients must attend a mandatory College Prep seminar on May 5, 2020.
Applications received after the March 1, 2020 deadline will not be considered. Late applications may be considered for funding in future award cycles.
Upon receipt and evaluation of all applications, the Board of Trustees will inform receipients of their decision via US mail.
All applications will be evaluated on merit and completion of the application along with supporting documents. The Robert A. Leonard Jr. Charitable Trust does not descriminate based on race, ethnicity, age, gender or sexual orientation.
In support of people and communities, the Robert A. Leonard Jr. Charitable Trust supports 501(c)(3) organizations that align with our core areas of giving focus. All requests must be submitted via Letter of Intent (LOI) by June 1. The Board of Trustees approves all requests based on organization need and evaluation.

Complete application in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Mail completed application along with supporting documents.
Be sure to include current contact information. Inability to be notified will result in dismissal of the application.
2020 Scholarship Application
Letter of Intent Instructions
For 501(c)(3) Organizations:
Submit a LOI no later than June 1. The letter should include the purpose of your organization, mission and documented history of at least two years of service.
Enclose a list of your board of directors and their contributions to the organization.
Submit a budget for your program, copy of your tax exempt letter and most recent 990 tax return.
The Board of Trustees will notify organizations by August 31.
